WEST BURLINGTON — Those in need of a Thanksgiving meal on Thursday can get one at no cost at Your CBD Store in West Burlington.
Store owner Mario Garcia and his family will be spending the days leading up to Turkey Day preparing hundreds of meals consisting of traditional Thanksgiving foods to be passed out drive-thru style outside the store in West Burlington.
“This day and age with COVID and everything, things aren’t as easy as they were,” Garcia said, explaining he and family members of his who own another CBD store in the Quad Cities wanted to give back to their communities this Thanksgiving.
Meals will be prepared in to-go boxes and distributed from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday drive-through style by a masked Garcia and family members as people pull up outside the store’s entrance on the west side of Westland Mall at 550 S. Gear Ave. in West Burlington. Those who drive up simply need to say how many meals they need. People are asked to remain in their vehicles and wait for the meals to be handed to them.
