Top Shelf gets the OK from Hudson ZBA to operate marijuana manufacturing and cultivation facility on Brent Drive

ZBA members said Top Shelf went above and beyond to address neighbors noise, odor worries.

HUDSON – A marijuana cultivation and manufacturing facility is coming to Brent Drive.

The town’s Zoning Board of Appeals Thursday signed off on Top Shelf Cannaseurs’ special permit request to operate a marijuana cultivation and manufacturing facility at 11 Brent Drive. Top Shelf will be required to go before the board in a year to ensure they are not breaking conditions of their permit and state license, such as noise and odor issues.

“This is the culmination of a 19-month process,” said Ryan Cohen, a co-founder of Top Shelf Cannaseurs.

Residents of the neighboring Sauta Farm over-55 condo complex have fought the proposal the past few months, saying noise and odor from the facility will ruin their quality of life. The neighbors have 21 days to appeal the Zoning Board of Appeals’ decision.
